The Houses of the Blackrock Area – by Peter Pearson

The town of Blackrock and its surrounding areas like Monkstown are graced with some of the most elegant and historic houses in Ireland. Peter Pearson will take an appreciative verbal walk through a selection of the more interesting ones.

Peter is an Irish artist, author, historian, and conservationist who has done much to preserve Ireland’s built heritage. An active campaigner in An Taisce and the Irish Georgian Society, he has awakened a population seemingly unconcerned about its destruction to the urgent need to fight to maintain that same heritage and to preserve its many glories for generations to come. The author of many books throught The O’Brien Press, his latest is “The Granite Coast”.
