Niamh Bhreathnach:

From Blackrock to reforming Minister for Education

Niamh Bhreathnach

Niamh Bhreathnach was born and reared in Blackrock. Deeply committed to public service, she served as a Minister, public representative and an advocate for equality. As Minister, her lasting legacy is that she abolished 3rd level fees in Ireland. Niamh’s advocacy for life-long learning is captured in a wonderful podcast series called “The Learning Garden” [available on Spotify]. In retirement, she was committed to mentoring women in politics.
